PLEASE NOTE: This listing is for the ZIP version (zip fastening). Looking for the pull-on version? Please see our separate PULL-ON Version listing.

Complete Summer Protection for your horse, pony or donkey!

The Snuggy Summer Turn Out Hood offers total protection from midges, biting insects, flies and harmful sunshine rays - along with mud and the elements ! It comes complete with built in ears, a zip fastening for easy fitting, adjustable noseband & elastic poll adjusters for secure fit. The Summer Turn Out Hood also has a no-seam silky lined mane & shoulder area to prevent rubbing/chafing and an adjustable belly strap.

The Snuggy Summer Turn Out Hood is designed for comfort and protection. The noseband is soft on the inside and the neck is cut extra long so the horse can stretch down comfortably to graze.

This unique Hood is made of fully breathable, water repellent, heavy shower proof, lightweight, stretch fabric which is durable, cool & comfortable. The Summer Turn Out Hood is fully machine-washable and designed to be worn 24/7, in field or in stable, rain or shine.

The Summer Turn Out Hood covers ears, face, neck, shoulders and chest. We recommend to use this Hood with the Sweet Itch Rug for maximum coverage, nose to tail.

The Summer Turn Out Hood is self-fixing so it can be used with any other rug such as a fly rug or Summer sheet. If you don't require the horse's head to be covered you can choose the Headless Sweet Itch Hood for amazing protection without covering the horse's face.

ZIP OR PULL ON ? - we would always recommend a pull on hood unless the horse is head shy. Why? Less fiddly, Less to break, Less Bulky. If your horse is head shy or would find fitting stressful or upsetting, we would always recommend a zipped hood.

The Snuggy Summer Turn Out Hood has been successfully protecting horses and ponies from the Summer elements for over 25 years, all over the World! This is a much-loved, extensively tried and tested design which has helped thousands of equines enjoy a more comfortable Summer season and therefore better quality of life.
